The YFS Wellness Centre is the culmination of student lobbying, input, and struggle spanning more than a decade. The space as it exists is a fluid thing that will stretch and shrink with student need, in order to best suit the York community. The walls of the Wellness Centre will provide a space to relax, inquire, and challenge for the betterment of both yourself, and the community. This space is student-run, and operates autonomously from York University.

The YFS Wellness Centre will focus on four main pillars of operation: Mental Health, Physical Health, Sexual Violence and Harm Reduction. You can explore each of these pillars in this tab.

The reality is that each of these pillars feeds and informs the other, and the student experience is filled with the exploration of each. We understand that for many of you, your presence on a university campus is an act of resistance, and in the face of oppression we hope to provide a space where you can know yourself and be supported. As this centre becomes more and more used, we hope that you will feel comfortable to share your input, suggestions, and questions in order to change the Wellness Centre for the better.
